Sometimes people meaning well will say things that in theology are not true. G-d did not give me cancer, or bad genetics, nature and the environment did that. The doctors will do all they can to care for me no matter what the outcome, but what does G-d do?

I use to have that feeling of how I must have done something to deserve it all, but reality is that is far from truth. G-d doesn’t give people cancer or crps what Hashem does provide is strength, courage, love and support. To believe otherwise we would have to believe that children are “given cancers” that are most beloved who have suffered did so at the hands of G-d? NO, far from truth, it simple is. That can be a hard one, but sometimes things simple are as they are. No matter your beliefs if you gain nothing else, please take away nothing bad that happens is done “to you” because of anything you have thought about, done, made a mistake in.

We all get to be human, warts and all as it is said. What we look for is someone or something to blame for the things that hurt us, break our hearts, or cause suffering. Realistically there is nothing and no one to blame for anything. Circumstances happen, we hope they don’t we try to work to prevent bad things, but i the end there will be sadness in our lives.

So what to do with the sadness, for me it use to turn into rage, and there are times when that evil inclination still tries to pop up or is even successful. It’s changed though, in finding my way back to faith I found a peace I did not know. At a moment when most expected me to loose that faith, and even I wondered if I could, I did and all because of the simple understanding. I did nothing, G-d is not punishing me, but he will help me be brave, stronger, and send hugs to hold my tears. If anything as I sit here not knowing if I have cancer for a third time and if so how bad. Knowing that having crps type two can cause some days to be full of pain while others it’s manageable, but I know that Hashem did not give me reflex sympathetic dystrophy. I know and I feel stronger from that knowledge.

Funny, i have been reading as much as I can eating up all the information and feeling my faith in a way I have never known; in those readings I found Rabbi Kushner and it is his writings that have helped me see the reality of our faith and our world.

Hashem is loving and strengthens us, he does not punish us, she does not hurt us on purpose. Hashem provides us strength and courage to be vulnerable and survive the storms.
ipmNation.comtag:ipmnation.com,2005:Post/56876522019-03-21T00:42:25-04:002019-03-21T01:55:45-04:00March 20, 2019: A Triple Celebration
By Christian Cunard

Tonight was a special night for all of us pagans, wiccans, and witches. We got to enjoy the dawning of Spring Equinox, the esoteric light of the Full Worm Moon, and the celebration of the Wheel of the Year's Sabbat Ostara. A point of perfect balance on the journey through the Wheel of the Year. Night and day are of equal length and in perfect equilibrium - dark and light, masculine and feminine, inner and outer, in balance. The natural world is coming alive, the Sun is gaining in strength and the days are becoming longer and warmer. The gentle whispered promise of Imbolc is fulfilled in the evident and abundant fertility of the earth at Ostara. The energy is expansive and exuberant. Ostara, also known as the Spring Equinox and the Vernal Equinox arrived tonight and coincides with a full moon. The Druids held a great reverence for the full moon during the Spring Equinox month, and when one fell on Ostara, it was a symbol of great changes to come and the start of spring!

The equinox is significant because it’s the time when night and day are of equal length and a time to celebrate balance in all things. Over the years, all kinds of pagan groups have used the Spring Equinox as a day for their rituals, festivals and rites. One of these ancient festivals which are still celebrated today is Ostara. This Anglo-Saxon pagan holiday celebrates the horned god and the spring maiden – which both of them representing the arrival of spring. Other symbols of this pagan ritual include eggs and rabbits – which spread to the Germanic pagan festivals Oester. Christianity would also borrow these symbols of spring for their Easter celebrations. However, these cultures weren’t the only ones which celebrated the Spring Equinox. One of these was the Mayans. The Mayan people of Central America celebrated the Spring Equinox for a millennium. When the sun set on the pyramid of El Castillo, Mexico it cast a long shadow that looks like a snake descending the staircase–what is called the returning of the sun serpent by the Mayans. Our Celtic ancestors would celebrate the arrival of Spring’s arrival many different ways, much as we do today.

Super Moon on the Spring Equinox

The March full Moon is particularly special because it reaches its peak on the same day as the spring equinox, on March 20, 2019. The last time the full Moon and the spring equinox coincided this closely (4 hours apart) was in March 2000, but the last time they occurred on the same date was on March 20, 1981!

This full Moon is also a supermoon, meaning the Moon will be nearly at its closest to Earth for the month of March. It’s the year’s third (and final) of three straight full supermoons. This means that the Moon may “appear” brighter and bigger than normal, provided the night sky is clear and dark. Tonight we enjoy both the dawning of Springtime and the esoteric light of the Full Worm Moon. The Druids held a great reverence for the full moon during the Spring Equinox month, and when one fell on Ostara, it was a symbol of great changes to come. Our celebration tonight is focused on cleansing, releasing, fertility, and growth in all aspects of our individual and collective lives; Physical Growth of our youth, our livestock, our crops, and our herbs; Spiritual Growth so that we may see our truest selves, find peace in times of trouble, and release the darkness that creeps in our lives unexpectedly; and Emotional Growth to make us more compassionate, more caring, and better able to communicate with those who are in need of healing. Traditionally, the Moon we see in March is called the Full Worm Moon. At this time of the year, the ground begins to soften enough for earthworm casts to reappear, inviting robins and birds to feed—a true sign of spring. Roots start to push their way up through the soil, and the Earth experiences a re-birth as it awakens from its winter slumber. There are many alternative names for the March Moon. One name was the Full Sap Moon, as this is the time of year when the sap of sugar maples starts to flow.

Wheel of the Year: Ostara

Ostara takes its name after the Germanic goddess, Eostre/Ostara, who was traditionally honoured in the month of April with festivals to celebrate fertility, renewal and rebirth. The Goddess Ostara has the shoulders and head of a hare. As it is with most ancient celebrations, there are no surviving documents or specific rituals, but we do know that there are sacred sites scattered all over the ancient world which clearly show our ancestors observed the Equinoxes and Solstices. Our celebration of Ostara, or Eostre or Eastre, originates from the Anglo-Saxon Goddess of spring and dawn whose legacy is symbolized by the hare and the egg. Ostara was a fertility Goddess and a Goddess of female purity. She, like the Celtic Green Man, were the lords and ladies of nature; the Kings and Queens of the forests and the fields. As we return to the ancient ways, our understanding of the Great Wheel continues to grow.

The story about Ostara and the first day of spring each year mentions how animals and children would come to the great meadow to celebrate with the Goddess Ostara to bring her gifts and offerings. No one is sure when, but on one of those years, a young rabbit was preparing to make the great journey. Being a creature of the earth, the rabbit had no possessions worthy enough to present to a Goddess, but the hare would not dare to insult the Goddess by arriving empty-handed and went to the forest to find something suitable.

While on his quest, the young rabbit came upon a fresh egg and was about to enjoy it as a meal, when he was hit with the realization that the egg would make a fine offering to the Goddess since it was a true representation of springtime. But, because the egg was no different than any other egg, the young rabbit decided to take it home to decorate it first. He wanted it to be special and worthy of offering to the Goddess.

On the first day of Spring, all the creatures were gathered, each taking a turn to approach the Goddess. When it was his turn, the hare humbly approached with reverence and awe, and presented the now brightly colored egg to the Goddess. She beamed at the beautiful egg; smiling down upon the rabbit, who was overwhelmed with relief. In fact, she was so happy that she wanted everyone to have one, so they could feel the same joy she was feeling. She also saw the unselfish and gentle soul of the rabbit by presenting her with the egg rather than eating it, so she rewarded him and his entire species with a new life, of sorts. From that day forward, rabbits would have the job of creating and delivering decorated eggs to children and animals across the land on the morning of the great festival of the spring.

Tonight we honor nature both in ceremony and practice as we celebrate the arrival of Spring’s arrival many different ways, much as we do today. With tonight's full supermoon, Spring Equinox, and Ostara, it was also an awesome night for other rituals, feasts, decorating altars, and blessings to be performed for fertility, new beginnings, fresh starts, prosperity, life. Starting seedlings for a garden and cooking a feast are ways to include the energy of the moon, Ostara, and the Spring Equinox.

As it is with most ancient celebrations, there are no surviving documents or specific rituals. Likewise, there is no physical evidence of specific Ostara ceremonies or rituals, but we do know that there are sacred sites scattered all over the ancient world which clearly show our ancestors observed the Equinoxes and Solstices. Modern pagans gather on Ostara to celebrate fertility, to ask for prayers from the Goddess for good weather during planting, and to interact with nature as it comes to bloom. Ostara is seen as a time when the fertile energy of the Earth once again awakens. This is also the time of the Maiden as well as the time that the Green Man appears. In the medieval times, the hare (rabbit) was a major fertility symbol and in March, they were reproducing and seemed to be everywhere, which is how they came to symbolize this Sabbat.

Each month, we gather to perform a full moon cleansing ritual; however since this month’s Full Worm Moon falls on Ostara, we’ll be adding a uniqueness that completes the cleansing process using the symbology of Ostara. The current full moon is in Libra, marking the beginning of a new cycle. Starting today, we should begin to experience a strong feeling of peace and tranquility washing over us. This moon carries a strong balancing energy; it can neutralize a negative environment through the creation of an unseen healing and harmonious curtain that surrounds us all.

Tonight we will be using eggs to perform a personal cleansing for each individual who wishes to engage. Eggs were used in ancient ritual practices because they are very absorbent but also because they signify new life and fertility. With a full moon on Ostara, this is perfectly appropriate. We will use the eggs to remove and eliminate spiritual debris and negative energy, then further test to determine if we’ve succeeded or if we have additional work to do.

Springtime is also the best time for women to get a new besom and for men to get a new staff. Ostara is a perfect night for consecrating and naming those new items. Both are powerful tools used in magick, rituals, and other ceremonies and each should be named appropriately as one would name a familiar. Tonight we shall honor this long-lost tradition by performing a consecration. The besom should have it’s name carved somewhere along the staff and never be used until consecrated. Hold the broom at arms length and anoint it with an oil which you personally hold sacred as you repeat this incantation while keeping your eyes focused on the moon.

Likewise, a staff must also be given a proper title. History speaks of great deeds performed with a staff and it speaks volumes of the person wielding it and the process of engaging with a new staff before consecration should not be taken lightly. As with the besom, the owner should carve the name of their staff somewhere along its length and take care to not touch the ground with the base of the staff until it’s consecrated. If it’s a purchased staff, lay it on one side on the earth and pour sacred water along its length; bring it to the ceremony in a horizontal position and consecrate the staff as you turn the staff vertical as you bless it. Once the incantation is spoken, bring the bottom tip strongly to the ground in a single striking motion to complete the consecration.

As this evening comes to a close and we seal off out sacred circles. Let's take a step back to reflect on the many blessings that we asked Luna our full supermoon of march and Ostara the beautiful Goddess of spring and of life for. Many ways to help us to remember those blessings can be, either write down in our journals that we keep all of our private thoughts in. Create some type of arts to help us to reflect back on those blessings and to thank the goddesses for all that they have given us.
ipmNation.comtag:ipmnation.com,2005:Post/56839082019-03-18T01:44:50-04:002021-10-29T16:23:51-04:00Ghosts: Myth and Reality
By Dr. Kevin

Ghosts - Myth and Reality

For years, death has been looked upon as either the last stop or the transition to some sort of afterlife. In more cases than not, the latter holds true. From those working as healers over the last thirty years, however, one thing has become abundantly clear: the truth is not always so well defined. Sometimes those who have died become trapped and need to be healed, healed so they may move to the other side, so they may examine their old life and so they may begin their planning for a new one. We call these trapped souls "ghosts."

Those of us who work as healers often receive calls to perform ghost clearings. Over the years, separately and as partners, the souls we have helped move to the other side number in the hundreds. During these experiences, many unfortunate thought patterns on the subject of ghosts have come to our attention. Ghosts have gotten a particularly bad reputation over the last 50-75 years. Between Hollywood and television, ghosts have been portrayed as ill-tempered, spiteful, vindictive, and generally "not very nice." The last few years have seen a limited number of more positive incidences from Hollywood, but the prevailing picture remains a negative one. To help heal this unfortunate imbalance, we would like to address a few of the more pervasive negative myths about ghosts:

MYTH: Ghosts are carrying out a grudge and are trying to be scary and vengeful.

TRUTH: Ghosts, for the most part, are disoriented and do not know why they are trapped. They manifest confusion in their behavior because they do not understand how to pass out of this reality to the other side. The trapped soul will see time going by but not truly comprehend the changes. Like being stuck behind a glass wall, they will watch the world go by without the power to interact with that world.

MYTH: Ghosts will harm you.

TRUTH: Ghosts want to get your attention, not harm you. They are trying to give you clues that they exist in the hopes that you might notice them and help them escape their limbo state. Often, they will attempt to reveal or replay the events that trapped them. The ghost generally has no self-interest in harming you. In our experience, a very few isolated spirits have harmful intent, but the percentage is negligible.

MYTH: Ghosts are evil.

TRUTH: There are things that carry a great deal of negative or darker energy in this world - many embodied (particularly during an election year) and others not embodied. These are not ghosts but energy patterns. You do not exorcize ghosts, you release them. Remember energy can neither be created nor destroyed. If a great deal of negative energy repeatedly patterns in a specific location, you may pick up on that negativity. Similar energies will be drawn together. If a person has a great deal of personal negativity, they may draw upon similar negative energies in a geographic location. This attraction may manifest in physical patterns such as the movement of objects, but these are not ghosts. An exorcism releases energy patterns. A ghost clearing releases actual trapped souls.

MYTH: Only those that believe in ghosts will see them.

TRUTH: Being able to detect the presence of ghosts is like tuning to the right radio station by finding the correct frequency. Some people are more sensitive than others at picking up these frequencies. Children, because of their general willingness to be open, traverse through many different frequencies, and are much more likely to pick them up. Mildly sensitive people who do not believe in spirits will often ignore repeated attempts to contact them, treating unexplained incidents as imagination or another equally "rational" explanation. In one class, we asked if anyone had lived in a haunted house. When a 13 year old girl raised a hand, her mother looked startled. Their previous house had been haunted and all the things the daughter pointed out were things the mother remembered but had just rationalized away. In retrospect, the mother agreed that they had lived in a haunted house. She realized she had seen all the evidence of the ghost but at the time simply did not want to believe that ghosts existed.

MYTH: Ghosts have been dead for a long time, they are not the newly dead.

TRUTH: There have been an increasing number of ghost healings that I have had to do over the last ten years that involve souls that died in an altered enough state, often times overdoses) that don’t even know that there dead. That have been stuck in their high or are trapped within the trip that killed them. And until they can not, only be brought into awareness of their own death, but crossed over they are stuck and can not continue on their souls journey.

MYTH: Sprinkle some holy water or burn a little sage and all will be well.

TRUTH: You may detach a ghost from a place that it is “haunting” and send it out into the world but you have not crossed it over without communications and understandings of why the ghost is trapped. And often times in dealing with a ghost there is almost a childlike or mentality compromised state that they are traveling in, so before you send them out wandering- disconnecting them from all that they recognize or do know- ask yourself if this were a small child would you throw them out on the street to fend for themselves or would you help them to get “home”?

Many fallacies and myths exist about the nature of ghosts, some that we have covered here. Do not believe all the stereotypes. If a ghost is drawn to communicate with you it may be because you shared the lifetime within which that spirit became trapped. You passed on and reincarnated, but they did not. Whatever the case, remember that ghosts are merely souls that are trapped on this side. They need our love, support and healing so that they can look to the other side and travel to the light.

Since I began doing professional psychic work in the 70’s, this is a question, in some form or variation, that I have been asked countless times…”Why see a psychic because…”

They might tell me bad things?
If they are really psychic then I can’t change it anyways so why bother?
My religion tells me it’s bad or wrong?
How will I know what they tell is the truth?
What if they tell me something bad, how do I know that I didn’t just make it happen because they told me so?
Psychic abilities don’t exist?
I don’t want to give my power away?

So, let’s look at my responses (more or less because there is always a little intuitive flair going on in any interaction of this kind)

First and foremost the future is not in granite, if it were then it would mean there is no free will. So if I looked at the most likely scenario as to what was going to happen in an area of your life, and it was something that you didn’t want to have happen, and there were things that you could do to shift and change it, why would you not want to know so that you could? Perchance (yes I do use that word in conversation) it is something that involves someone around you and you don’t have the ability to shift it, and it were bad, wouldn’t you like to have the opportunity to be better prepared for it? Just as if something good were happening on the periphery of your awareness and that something good could become something great, if you were made aware of it, why wouldn’t you want that additional insight?

If your religion is the issue know that whatever religion it is, it has some reference to psychic gifts as being gifts from God. In the religious framework they often don’t want those gifts to be recognized unless the church has control over the messenger and the message and the ability to edit or shift to always be in alignment with church teachings- it’s a power and control thing when you think about it. In religious language they are called charisms. Let’s look at a few.

The Charism of Knowledge empowers a Christian to be a channel of God's truth through diligent study and intellectual activity that enables us to better understand God, ourselves, and the universe.

The Charism of Healing empowers a Christian to be a channel of God's love through whom God cures illness and restores health when healing is unlikely to occur quickly or to happen at all.

The Charism of Prophecy empowers a Christian to be a channel of divine truth and wisdom by communicating a word or call of God to individuals or a group through inspired words or actions.

The Charism of Wisdom empowers a Christian to be a channel of God's goodness through remarkable insight that enables him or her to come up with creative solutions to specific problems and make good decisions.

The Charism of Writing empowers a Christian to be a channel of God's creativity by using words to create works of truth or beauty that reflect the fullness of human experience and bring glory to God.

I choose these because these all relate to psychic gifts ( still gifts from God) that I have been teaching globally, for almost 30 years, in my Psychic development courses.

The more you have developed your own psychic abilities and will listen to your own inner guidance the more you will recognize true messages being delivered to you and you’ll know what resonates.

Every major religion supports gifts that could be easily classified as psychic abilities. Science studies them, even governments have invested monies into how to better develop and control them. Anyone who spends five minutes researching will find too much evidence to not support their existence. In that same five minutes you can also find any number of abuses, scams and disreputable behaviors that have the label psychic involved. Sometimes people are just scam artists other times they are moderately to even very psychic and know how to capitalize off of it. Psychic is an energy, which is neither positive or negative, it just is. It’s who is using the gift that decides whether it’s being used for the good or for bad.

As far as giving your power away; never give your power away. Not to your doctor, not to your minister, priest or rabbi, not to your religion, your government, your parents, your children or your friends. Don’t give your power away to your psychic, your astrologer or your therapist. Don’t give your power away to what you see on the internet, watch on TV or read in a magazine. Use all these things as more information with which to make better decisions. Develop your own psychic abilities so they can guide you to see what good solid input is, advice and thought process and what is simply a load of crap.

We all have psychic abilities, we can all develop those psychic abilities and we can all use them, whether it is from our own to someone else’s, to have a better, more empowered and happier life.

So, in conclusion, getting insight through a psychic lens, just gives you more information, with which, to make better decisions. No different than getting information from a doctor, lawyer, engineer, priest, rabbi, or minister- even your spouse! And I would hope in getting those pieces of information that not only would you not have given your power away to an authority figure (yes, some people see psychic healers and teachers as authority figures) but that you would have done your due diligence. And above all else learn to trust your own intuitive.
