episode 1 recipes

Chili

1# ground beef
1 Tbsp fresh garlic
1 chopped onion
1 chopped bell pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
2 tsp oregano
4 Tbsp chili powder

1 28oz can crushed tomato
1 15 oz c diced tomato
1 15 oz c kidney beans
1 15oz c black beans
S + P to taste

Brown hamburg, onions, peppers, and all spices in large stockpot
on high heat, stirring often until hamburg is thoroughly cooked.
Lower heat to medium.
Stir in tomatoes and beans.
Simmer at least 10 minutes.


Biscuits

2 c bisquick mix
2/3 c milk
1 tsp allspice

flour for dusting

Preheat oven 400*
Lightly grease the backside of a 6 cup muffin pan or 6 oven safe bowls

Combine all but flour in bowl.
Dough will be lumpy, stiff, and sticky.
Lightly sprinkle flour on dough to loosen from bowl.
Divide into 6 balls.
Lightly sprinkle flour on surface and roll out each ball into 4-6" diameter.
Drape over muffin pan.
Bake 13 - 17 minutes or until golden brown.


Crescent Pizza Wheels

1 8oz c crescnet rolls
2 Tbsp finely chopped bell pepper
2 Tbsp parmasian cheese
1/2 c finely chopped pepperoni
1/2 c shredded Italian cheese

Preheat oven 400*
Lightly grease cookie sheet

Combine all ingrediants but the crescent rolls in a bowl.
Unroll dough leaving 2 triangles together to form a rectangle.
Firmly press seams together.
Evenly disperse mixture over dough.
Start with the short side of the dough and roll it up.
With a serrated knife, cut each roll into 6 slices.
Lay cut side down on pan and lightly press.
Bake 10 - 13 minutes or until golden brown around the edges

Beer Balls

meatballs
1.5# ground beef
1 small onion small diced
1/4 c seasoned bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp fresh garlic
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt

sauce
12oz beer
1 c ketchup
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp pepper

Combine sauce ingredients in large pot.
Whisk then set aside.

Combine meatball ingredients.
Shape into balls.
Coat bottom of large skillet with oil.
Cook on medium high heat turning balls frequently until thoroughly cooked.
Heat sauce on medium low
Add meatballs.
Cook at least 10 minutes


Spiced Pecans

12oz bag pecans
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c brown sugar

1/4 c sugar
2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cardamom
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves

Mix 1/4 c sugar and all spices. Set aside.
In large skillet on high heat, melt butter and brown sugar.
Stir constantly.
When melted and combined together cook on high heat stirring constantly
for 3-5 minutes. Mixture will have small bubbles and start to smell
like it is burning when ready to add pecans.
Add pecans to butter mixture coating all pecans then add spices and mix.
